Molecular Microbiology — Fall 2026

Diversity of genomes, molecules, structures, metabolism, and regulation in microorganisms, with emphasis on Bacteria + Archaea. Rowen's pathogenesis lens (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Type III secretion) will color many examples — pre-read each chapter to keep up with his fast slide pace.

Quick start

Rowen's pace warning

Reviews note Rowen runs 40-50 slides per 50-min lecture. Pre-read each chapter + use Mastery daily so vocab is locked in before lecture. Lecture time is for synthesis, not memorization.
